Janet in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Blog: What Comes Next

Connie in Vallejo, CA
Connie belongs to the Carquinez Straits Stitchers Guild in Benicia, CA. They sponsor a UFO challenge and she decided to work on this one. She did purchase a few reds, blacks & whites, but the remainder came from her stash. The pattern is Ladybugs on Parade by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes.
Judy from Westbank, British Columbia, Canada
This is a denim quilt that Judy is making for her daughter and her family (she’s already finished one for her son.) Finished size will be about 93” x 77”. It started as a project to use up the denim she had laying around because she just couldn’t throw the good bits away. The flannel is from her stash.

Edie Cochran & Delynda Terrell from Paris, TX
Edie & Delynda have been working on these quilts since September ‘09 and just finished them. They collected fabrics from all over including some Etsy shops, using almost every line that was out last year including Chic or Treat, Scribble Monsters, Spooktacular, Halloween Town, Pumpkins Gone Wild, Trick or Treat Street, Witches in Stitches, and many others. They combined several patterns from Amy Bradley Designs, Dandelion Seed Designs, many magazine patterns and a bunch out of their own heads. They had enough fabric to make 10 king-size quilts! (They think they have a fabric addiction :))
They are also making a Valentine’s Day throw using Sandy Gervais’ L’Amour for Moda. It’s a mock cathedral pattern. Dee is doing hers in denim and Edie in brown and red flannel.
Louise Foster from Las Cruces, NM
Louise loves to quilt! This is from a class she is taking.
Sheila from New Hampshire
Blog: My Empty Nest is Full of Cat Hair
Sheila just pieced this. She calls it “Pinwheels in the Sun”. Fabrics are from her stash.
Deb from Shenandoah Valley, Virginia
Blog: Mountain Musings
Deb is working on a twin size quilt for her son (it’s a surprise!) She’s always making things for the girls, but not for him! She’s not sure of the fabric … possibly from RJR.
Her second quilt is simple squares made with Figgy Pudding by BasicGrey for Moda.
Darlene from Geneva, OH
Darlene is making an Ohio State Log Cabin Star wall hanging, celebrating the 2010 Rose Bowl Champions! She’s using fabrics from her very large scarlet and gray stash.
Grace from Pikeville, KY
Grace has a few projects in the works … a tabletopper, a tablerunner and two baby blankets.
Fran from Seelyville, Pennsylvania
Fran has 16 unfinished projects right now and charm squares cut for lap robes for wheelchair bound patients. She makes pillowcases out of 100% cotton for ill children also.
She has a flannel quilt top she just put together, table runners and 5 or 6 queen size tops to do. She also has two or three baby quilts in progress. She like to do things for family, friends and charity.
Fran also told us that her sewing table looks just like our pic--actually so does the two rooms she uses for quilting.
She didn’t have a chance to send in any pictures, but that’s okay. She’s one busy lady!
Thanks Fran :)

Snowman – Fairy Frost Snow from Michael Miller
Cupcake top – Close to My Heart from Marcus Fabrics
Cupcake bottom – 3 Sisters Simplicity Diamond Tuck Specialty from Moda
HGTV 2010 BOM – Stars!
This has been a fun one to participate in. I met many of the participants through our Holly Jolly Blog Bingo. Each month we make a star-themed 12” block and a mini 4” block. My large blocks are made with fabrics from the “Glory” collection from Moda, and my mini blocks are from Mill House Inn, also from Moda. Here are February’s blocks. The mini version will end up being a wall-hanging in my master bedroom.
My 3rd project will probably take me all year. I’m make a California King size version of the Cobblestones pattern. It was the first exclusive pattern for Fig Tree Club members. I’m using the Mill House Inn Fabrics from Fig Tree. Two rows down … nine to go!
Thank you for joining us for our first parade! It is so fun to see what everyone is doing. Keep sending in your pictures, as we’ll have another parade in March! And keep your eye out for our new monthly Finished Friday on the last Friday of the month.
