SIENA from P&B Textiles

Siena is a gorgeous fantasy floral collection from P&B Textiles featuring a main print with a slightly Jacobean flavor. The large flowers are striking on both dark and light backgrounds, creating a very different look with each, and with the red background as well. The packed medium-sized secondary print is loaded with additional color and texture, and the tonal gives the eye a resting place with a subtle but interesting print.

She's a Little Bit Country ...

This lovely woman that graced our television sets so many years ago, has taken the quilting world by storm. Now, granted, as cute as she was, we know our eyes were all on Donny :)

Over the past decade we've seen Marie in a whole new way, that of a crafter, designing a collection of stunning dolls. But that's not where it ends. A few years ago she began designing fabric for Quilting Treasures.
This October we had the privilege of meeting with Marie at Quilt Market, where she introduced her new fabrics along with her promotion of her new sewing machine with Janome and her new collection of Advantus quilters storage accessories . What a delight it was to spend a few minutes talking with her. And, yes, she really does quilt! The picture below is a quilt she made just a few days before market.

Marie's newest collection, Blanc et Noir "Fashion," has just arrived at The Quilt Shoppe. Featured in the quilt above made by Marie, this new collection is a sophisticated group with a downtown flair. Geometrics combined with florals in black, white and a pop of fuchsia, this 12-piece collection is perfect for contemporary quilts, totes and accessories. To add a little variety, pair it up with fabrics from the original Blanc et Noir collection.

TQS Exclusive! We've put together charm packs and bundles of this newest collection. Each charm pack includes 36 -5" squares (3 of each pattern in the collection.) Bundles include 12 fat quarters.

The quilt shown below is a free pattern available from Quilting Treasures (it's also the quilt behind Marie in the picture of the two of us.) Click on the quilt below to download the free pattern.

The Marie Osmond Quilt Challenge starts now!! Make a quilt using Marie's fabrics and get a chance to win a prize package including a Janome sewing machine, Quilting Treasures fabrics, Advantus storage accessories and much more!

Here are the latest patterns in the Fig Tree "Threads" collection. Each of these patterns features a quick project.

Six of the latest quilt patterns are shown below. Layer Cake and Jelly Roll Friendly, each of these quilts can be made up in any of her collections. The best part about Joanna's patterns is that there are no templates and no Y-Seams!

We are eagerly anticipating the delivery of the newest pattern booklet from Fig Tree, "The Pastry Shoppe." How can you resist these “Turnover™” Goodies? This booklet contains 6 simple new patterns all using the new MODA Turnover precuts made from her newest fabric collection “Patisserie”. As an extra bonus, the same patterns are also shown on the back cover of the book made in the new 3 Sisters collection, “Aviary”, now there’s a sweet deal for you :-)!
The Quilt Shoppe will be carrying both the Patisserie and Aviary collections, due to arrive in March 2009.
If you would like to reserve your own copy, send an email to reservation@thequiltshoppe.net and put "Pastry Shoppe Booklet" in the subject line. Send us your name and phone number. We'll set one aside for you and call you when it arrives.

There is nothing like the friendship of Quilters no matter where we are in the world." Thank you, Chris!
