Holly Jolly Blog Bingo – Day Twelve

hollybingodaywords12 copy

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

For the first time in my life (and I’m not telling how many years that is,) I’m sick on Christmas day.  It started yesterday, and by 6 pm I was in bed, fast asleep.  So much for Christmas Eve.  So much for fun with the kids, watching movies, messing around, etc.  So much for me getting all my dips and fillings and bread dough done before I went to bed.  So much for staying up all night wrapping presents.  Nope, it was me and my pillow.
My dear Amanda felt I needed some cheering up, so off she went to the grocery store … not for the typical last minute pound of butter, or dozen of eggs, but for a box of Nyquil and some Starbucks Java Chip ice cream.  She thought it would be nice to get me a special movie to watch while I was laying there, so Julie & Julia it was.  Sorry Julie.  My apologies Julia.  The Nyquil won.
And then it was Christmas morning … 7 am.  My hubby came in.  “Honey?  Good morning!  Merry Christmas!  It’s 7 a.m.!  There’s a few hundred people all over the world waiting for their words!”
So here I am.  I’m really praying that you’re all having a wonderful time opening presents and eating fantastic foods, and that you’re really not sitting by your computers waiting.  But if you are, here goes!  And, if you don’t mind, I’m going to announce yesterday’s and today’s daily winners tomorrow.
Have a wonderful holiday!

friDAY’s words

choir
cookie exchange
drum
hot chocolate
pine

star
stocking
stocking stuffer
tobbogan
vacation

bonus words:
elves
friends
love
pine needles
silver bells

good luck!

What do you do if you get Bingo?
Leave a comment on the blog screaming “BINGO”!  It might not be a bad idea to email us too … just in case we miss it.  In the subject line put “I HAVE BINGO.”  If Bingo is declared, but a 2nd or 3rd person also gets it, go ahead and call it, just in case.  As soon as I see the Bingo, I’ll check through the entries to confirm it and will blog a final winning post.  Bear with me … I have over 375 emails to go through!

friday’s giveaway

Whimsy by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda

Two winners … one will get a Whimsy Jelly Roll and one a Whimsy Layer Cake!

I am soooooo sorry that you're sick on Christmas. I hope that somehow you feel just well enough to enjoy some Christmas treats in bed. But I believe you already have gotten the sweetest gift of all, the love of your family. What a sweet gesture from Amanda ~ it just warmed myheart!

Well I'm off to clean up all the wrappings that the children have tossed all over the room! :0) Its the best kind of mess to clean up!

Thank you for taking time to make our Christmas just a bit more special!

Blessings & joy,

I remember the ONLY time I ever missed Christmas Day at my granddaddys. My youngest got up with diarrhea and our water was froze!! I knew she was too sick to go anyway, even if I could have bathed everyone. My granddaddy was heart broken because up to that point I had been there every single Christmas Day!

I'm so sorry to hear you are sick. What a rotten time to feel poorly.

I found that I'd missed a word a few days ago but I don't use those BUBBLE LIGHTS on my tree.

I am going to sit today and relax with some HOT CHOCOLATE since we aren't expecting family until tomorrow. I still need to make a few of the dishes for the meal today and then tomorrow I have only a few things to do rather than to spend the entire day in that kitchen of mine. I want to enjoy our family while they are here and our only grandchild is coming. I'm super excited about that because we haven't seen our granddaughter more than about an hour since March this year.

Anyway, I hope you feel better really quick and can hopefully enjoy part of your Christmas. I see there is one bingo with no email addy which may not count because of that according to the rules if I recall but, we do have another which does have that so I guess we will see who gets crowned as our winner when our hostess feels better. Congratulations to the winner. How exciting.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

SO sorry to hear you're SO sick. Yes, I WAS here sitting on the computer waiting for the words! :) We celebrated last night so it's rest today. Didn't get to bed until 2 a.m. and got up especially to check words and now doubt I will be able to go back to sleep since I had to wait an hour for them to show up! :) Sadly, only got 2 and 2 still to go, but I'm having fun anyway. Hope you feel better SOON. I've had some miserable sick Christmasses, too, so I can really sympathize with you.

Oh, Lani, so sorry to hear you are not up to par. Hope you are better quickly. The CHOIR sang and we gave them each a STOCKING STUFFER. I still need seven words. Where are they hiding?

Oh I love the cookie exchange with friends drinking hot chocolate filling stockings and listening to the silver bells.
