SWEET BOX - Sweet Treat Tote

"Sweet Box"
from the
Moda Bake Shop

These wonderful new delicacies contain two
10-strip rolls. Strips are 1-1/2" x 44".

Prints are from:
Aviary by 3 Sisters
Spring Magic by April Cornell

Each box also includes a
to make the Sweet Treat Tote (shown).
Two totes can be made using the strips in the box.

Aviary is inspired by vintage prints and field study engravings from a time when the world outside was shared through drawings rather than photographs. Full of detail and texture in a supple palette of pinks, greens, aquas and cream, this refreshing collection is elegant and sophisticated. Classic florals and masterfully crafted paislies make this a collection that exemplifies beauty by anyone's terms.

We have just received a limited quantity of early precuts for this stunning collection. No worries though, more are on their way! Yardage will be arriving in March.

How can you resist these new Turnover Goodies? Fig Tree's new Pastry Shoppe booklet contains 6 simple new patterns all using the new MODA Turnover precuts made from our newest fabric collection Patisserie. As an extra bonus, the same patterns are also shown on the back cover of the book made in the new 3 Sisters collection, Aviary, now there's a sweet deal for you! Patterns include quilts made with both 1 and 2 turnover packages and you can choose from several fun designs made especially to utilize those fun new treats from the folks at MODA. If you haven't developed a sweet tooth yet for these great fabric packages, you certainly will after you get your hands on these. And if Turnovers are just not your thing, you can of course cut your own triangles and make all the same treats. Pattern instructions are included for both Turnovers and cutting your own pieces.

People may disagree on some issues but we are all united by our love for this country. Glory!, by Kathy Schmidtz for Moda, is meant to inspire the same kind of feeling that one gets when reciting the pledge of allegiance or hearing the Star Spangled Banner. This collection of timeless prints are rooted in traditional Americana elegance and encourages us to live free and dream big!

Available at The Quilt Shoppe:
Fat Quarter Bundle
Charm Pack
Jelly Roll
Layer Cake

We visited Kathy's Blog, and she has a wonderful quilt project posted. Her mother helped her design the quilt shown below. The pattern is a freebie and can be yours by emailing Kathy at kschmitz785@comcast.net.

Kashmir IV by Sentimental Studios for Moda. The fourth installment on the Kashmir legacy shows us a softer more subtle collection of paisleys. The palette is romantic in lilac, mint, aqua and pink, both sweet and refreshing. Even though the colors have changed, the eye catching detail and intricate line work have remained.

Cherry Blossom

Cherry Blossom was inspired by Chris Chun's last trip to Japan. Chris describes this new collection: "It is so beautiful there, especially in Kyoto where there are lots of temples and shrines. It is so peaceful and serene; walking around the temples with the lush, perfectly manicured gardens, hearing the birds sing and running waters. I have tried to capture this fleeting moment of contentment and harmony in this range."
