When the reindeer went caroling, watching the snowflakes hit the toys, they heard the drum begin and they were inspired to sing the hallelujah chorus, then they ran indoors for some hot chocolate.

nothing today, but

while I was CAROLING, and on the Hallelujah chorus, a group of reindeer passed by. They were on their way to deliver toys and a drum.
They invited me to join them, and we enjoyed some Hot chocolate while watchign the snowflakes fall. What a great day!

No words for three days in a row!
My phrase:
The toys went caroling and sang the hallelujah chorus while the reindeer played the drum and drank snowflake hot chocolate!

Richard Lavimoniere said...

Two words for me today: reindeer and snowflake! Woo Hoo.

As I stand by my window sipping hot chocolate and cream, I spy an errant snowflake or two floating before my eyes. I lean my head against the cold, paned glass and dream of when Santa arrives on his eight, tiny reindeer bringing toys for all the boys and girls. Snapping out of my reverie from the ra-pa-pa- pum of a distant drum I see a festively dressed, caroling group marching up the street singing in harmony to the great hallelujah chorus of one of my favorite songs. Oh, what a great Christmas time this will be!!

Some children were caroling
Near the nativity scene.
Oom-pa-pa went the drum
When they sang the Hallelujah chorus.

From the distance came a reindeer pulled sleigh
Leaving toys, gifts, and hot chocolate for
All the good children who
Knew that Santa would be visiting
Everyone who believes.

Did you really think I left out the word "snowflake"??!! Look closely at this poem and you will find it! (*Hint- read the first letter of every line!)

The choir went CAROLING after they finished drinking their HOT CHOCOLATE; but unfortunately, due to the poor visibility, and one huge, perilous SNOWFLAKE, just as they reached the HALLELUJAH CHORUS, they were run over by a REINDEER who was delivering TOYS to the little boy playing the DRUM.

It's two weeks before Christmas
The REINDEER are fed
The TOYS in their boxes
I'm CAROLING in my head

The HALLELUJAH CHORUS is playing
and fills up the room
While a tiny white SNOWFLAKE
falls outside in the gloom

I'm drinking HOT CHOCOLATE
My home tight as a DRUM
Soon will be Christmas morning
Hallelujah! I hum...

Sarah Vanderburgh said...

2 words for me today!

"REINDEER stood around a DRUM CAROLING the HALLELUJAH CHORUS. The TOYS are READY in Santa's sack. A SNOWFLAKE lands in Jolly Nick's HOT CHOCOLATE - a perfect winter scene"

Thanks for the challenging fun:)

We are expecting a snowflake or two as we drink hot chocolate and dress as toys (I'll be a drum) for caroling tonight; we don't know the Hallelujah chorus, but will one about reindeer do?

Took a break from wrapping TOYS to make HOT CHOCOLATE. Look out the window to see neighbors CAROLING singing the HALLELUJAH CHORUS, just beautiful. They are accompanied by a DRUM and I have no idea where they found a REINDEER. While watching them a single SNOWFLAKE fell.

One word today. Yippee!

bbninjas said...

'Snowflakes' glisten on a magical night!
Here is my looooong phrase:

When the SNOWFLAKES fall, drink HOT CHOCOLATE while you listen to some kids CAROLING the HALLELUJAH CHORUS along with the DRUM. The alduts hand out TOYS to the little children. A REINDEER adds more beuty to the HALLELUJAH CHORUS.

Told you it was long!

Anonymous said...

SNOWFLAKE the REINDEER whipped up a DRUM (that's 55 gallons!!) of HOT CHOCOLATE to serve to the CAROLING TOYS along with her famous honey buns, jelly rolls, and layer cakes after which they delighted her with their rendition of the HALLELUJAH CHORUS.

...Karen

CRN said...

There are no snowflakes in my yard or on my list. Humph!

Karen said...

As the first SNOWFLAKE of the season drifts to the ground, I sip HOT CHOCOLATE to the sounds of the HALLELUJAH CHORUS. With a DRUM and various TOYS scattered round I look out the window to see a REINDEER walking by as the CAROLING stops and I wonder will I get it all my quilting done in time?

JK Services said...

The Hallelujah Chorus was on my list today as the Drums echoed for Santa's reindeer to come for Hot Chocolate and Snowflakes (instead of marshmellows. All the Toys were ready to fly as we go a Caroling on the 4th of July!!!

"The reindeers were caroling a halleluyah chorus accompanied by toy drums while snowflakes fell in their hot chocolate" Lame, I know, but hey -- I'll do anything for a fig tree honey bun :) Happy holidays

Unknown said...

Yes! Finally got 1!! Just one!! But that's ok!!

As we go caroling singing a Hallelujah chorus, the snowflakes fall all around the reindeer and us, toys of drums make up the beat and the crowd drinks hot chocolate as we sing.

Debbie said...

Eight words in three days! That's pretty good. Sorry, no sentence with the words, but gotta try for that honeybun!

Janet said...

Cozily sitting by the warm, winter fireplace sipping my delicious, marshmallow topped hot chocolate, I hear the soft being of a mellow drum in the distance. Slowly rocking in my favorite chair, a snowflake lands on the windowsill -a sure sign Santa and his reindeer will come delivering toys to those good little boys and girls. And to my amazement a beautiful Hallelujah Chorus is softly and joyously caroling through the still of the night. Happy blessings to one and all!

While I was in my kitchen, sipping on some delicious hot chocolate and waiting for my snowflake cookies to come out of the oven, the hallelujah chorus stopped by to share their caroling with me.
So, I grabbed my cute reindeer sweater and a drum from my sons chest of toys and joined them.

Man! I missed the first few days!!! All caught up now, though. And I got to mark off 5 words!

Nancy Sue said...

Warning: Drinking too much hot chocolate, while playing Holly Jolly Blog Bingo, may lead to dreaming about toys caroling poorly by singing the Hallelujah Chorus off-key while accompanied by a reindeer sporting a snowflake nose ring, jamming out on his snare drum...using only his antlers!

Quiltin Kat said...

Consistent a one word a day, still having fun...

Jude said...

I was listening to the caroling while I was looking for a reindeer out of the window when I saw a snowflake fall, I really should have been wrapping the toys and that little drum for the kids and then in would be ready for Christmas, but what`s that I hear, its the Hallelujah chorus and it seems to be coming from the Heavens, so I now really need that relaxing cup of hot chocolate and a sit down in my favourite chair.

Christmas is coming.
There’s so much to do.
A practiced drum starts drumming.
As the Hallelujah Chorus begins on que.

Though caroling is heard.
There’s not a snowflake in sight.
The toys will be delivered.
By eight reindeer tonight.

With a cup of hot chocolate,
And a twinkle in his eye,
Santa readies himself for he is the pilot.
And off he goes with a quick goodbye.

Jenny's Place Online said...

What a shame... no Hallelujah chorus, or caroling here. The Hot chocolate is going cold, the reindeer are playing with the toys, the snowflake are melting....and no prize winning drum roll here :( Maybe tomorrow :) Fingers crossed, Jenny :)

As I was looking out our window sipping my hot chocolate I spotted a snowflake or two. What is that I hear, I wondered. Just then I saw a group of carolers coming around the corner singing the wonderful Hallelujah chorus. My husband and I agreed, it had been the perfect Christmas morning--all in all-- watching as our young toddling grandaughter hugged her stuffed Reindeer and our baby grandson stared at the colorful picture on a box that held a new toy drum. They seemed content with their new toys.

Merry Christmas to one and all!!!

I was fortunate to be the first to pour a ceramic creche years ago when so my cow actually has horns. I've shopped for years for a STABLE that might be comparibly the same size. The first year I had the set up after finding the STABLE, I noted one night something moving around in it. A closer look proved my half Siamese had bedded down in there. Perhaps not an animal mentioned in the Christmas story, but there easily could have been one or more, keeping the mice in the stable under control!!
