While out caroling last night we found people enjoying hot chocolate by the fire. We sang songs to them about reindeer, and toys, and little boys and their drums. My favorite part was when we started singing the Hallelujah Chorus and snowflakes started falling down!

While riding my favorite reindeer with a backpack full of toys and a cup of hot chocolate in my hand, I heard a drum in the distance. Could it be the elves had started the "call for snow" dance without me? Oh no!! As I scurried back to the North Pole to join them I felt a snowflake on my nose. Aah! the dance is working! yeah! Well, at least I'll make it back in time to do some caroling and feel the joy of the Hallelujah Chorus. Merry Christmas everyone!

The children's Christmas concert featured caroling, accompanied by a small boy playing a drum; a skit with kids dressed as reindeer, packing a sleigh with toys, as a solitary snowflake settled on Rudolph's nose; and as a finale the choir marched in singing the Hallelujah chorus, while ladies in the kitchen prepared to serve hot chocolate to all.

The reindeer were caroling with a drum and handing out toys to the children. When they came to my house singing the hallelujah chorus, I gave them hot chocolate, just as the first snowflake fell.

I was making hot chocolate with my granddaughter when we heard the sound of a drum beat in the distance and it was getting closer. "What is that noise?" she asked. We went outside to investigate and it was the Hallelujah chorus coming down out street. She was singing along to the caroling when she suddenly noticed a team of reindeer pulling a sleigh full of toys, she was so excited! Then she said, "Nana, look, Im trying to catch a snowflake on my tongue." It was a great night. And her nana also got 2 words in today Holly Jolly Bingo.

The children's TOYS were wrapped and placed lovingly uinder the brightly lit tree. I was enjoying a tasty cup of HOT CHOCOLATE and admiring the Christmas wall hanging I had made of a REINDEER catching a SNOWFLAKE on his nose whenI heard a distant DRUM. I watched out the window as a croup came carolling down the street, stopping at each dor and singing the HALLELUJA CHORUS. It wa a perfect Christmas Eve.

Finally got a word today. Maybe a slow start might mean something. The snowflakes are not falling here like back east.

Jane's Fabrics and Quilts said...

Here we go. This was fun....

As gentle snowflakes started to fall on the reindeer, the little drummer boy started to play his drum to the tune of the Hallelujah Chorus; the carolers were so over come with joy, that they joined in the singing even though all their children wanted to play with their new toys and warm up with some hot chocolate.

Robyn said...

The house was overflowing with the noise of a shiny drum and other new toys (I would swear my niece's sounded like a reindeer's attempt at caroling) but as a snowflake fell into my hot chocolate, I sang a quiet bit of the Hallelujah chorus for the peace outside.

2 more today-plugging along towards a full sheet. :D

Karen said...

Well I had a little better luck today ... only wish I could actually see a "snowflake," but since snow is virtually nonexistent here ... guess I will have to settle for pictures!

SewCalGal said...

The Hallelujah chorus with a caroling reindeer brought everyone good cheer.

There was only one snowflake in the sky, which was still all too clear.

The sled was full of toys, including a drum, just about ready for Santa’s big flight.

So all the elves took a break to enjoy some hot chocolate before the big night.

While driving into Madison yesterday to buy some toys for my grandchildren, I saw our first snowflake of the morning. That is always so exciting. It reminded me of the wonders of this season. I looked to my right and there was a reindeer standing out in the field. My mind has a tendancy to wander so I then thought about sitting around a fire at home sipping on some hot chocolate, listening to neighbors caroling and singing a halleluyah chorus. I was brought back to reality when my son called and told me my little grandson really, really, wants a DRUM. Oh, no, I thought.

I got two more words today. That now gives me three total :)

O! say can you see reindeer caroling by me,
Hallelujah chorus sings for the toys Santa brings,
Whose broad waist and red hat beckons us to be fat,
O'er marshmallows smores and the friends we adore?
And the hot chocolate grins, the drums banging like tins,
Gave proof through the night that our faith is still here;
O! say does that bright Christmas tree
Ring in the new born King
O’er the land of the free and home of the brave!

With the promise of hot chocolate at some stops, we were not going to let a snowflake or two deter us from caroling and we were happy after because eveyone, the reindeer and the toys included (even the wind up monkey with his drum) stood up when we sang the Hallelujah chorus!

(try saying that 3 times fast! lol)
Hugs,

As I was beating my new drum toys, a snowflake landed in my hot chocolate… I’m out back with the reindeer, listening to the caroling as they hit the Hallelujah chorus.

...and I didn't get ONE word today... maybe tomorrow I'll be singing Hallelujah!

Ok, my creative post:
"Caroling" "Reindeer" loaded "Toys" into Santa's sleigh while singing "Halleluja Chorus" and sipping "Hot Chocolate" out of a "Drum" cooled to just the right temperature by a falling "Snowflake"

Finally got three words today! Yay!

Here's my sentence in poetry:

Reindeer and toys,
And a drum beating noise,
The Hallelujah Chorus
Caroling and hot chocolate for us,
The perfect snowflake,
It must be Christmas!

Oh won’t you come a carolling,
It’s quite the Christmas thing …
The Hallelujah Chorus …
how it moves me when they sing.

It warms my heart like Hot Chocolate
It makes me feel so festive
It fills me up with Christmas cheer,
Like Santa and his eight reindeer
With precious toys
For girls and boys

A snowflake settles on my nose,
I hear a distant drum,
It reminds me why we celebrate ….
Our Sweet Saviour has come!!!

I'm happy with my hot chocolate and the hallelujah chorus today too!!! That's 3 for me so far, woohoo!!!
Hugs,
Joy :o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

OK,HERE GOES:
We're off to do some caroling by drum,
Prancing 'round a snowflake or two.
From afar,we hear the Hallelujah Chorus ringing.
Now it's time to hand out toys, while sipping hot chocolate all around!

After singing the Hallelujah chorus,
As the choir had been caroling before us.
We shopped for toys
For good little boys
And found a toy drum for Morris.

While hurrying home to bake
We saw our first snowflake.
The reindeer were roaming
As it began snowing
And hot chocolate to keep us awake.

I got two words today!!! Yes!!

We went to the mall today to hand out TOYS to the kids. The ceiling was decorated with large SNOWFLAKEs. While we were there the high school was CAROLING on the upper level. The band was over in the food court with the REINDEER. The DRUM was to loud! We finished up by drinking HOT CHOCOLATE while the choir sang the HALLELUJAH CHORUS. It was magical!
